Yuffie was raised in the single best country ever, Wutai, for her whole life by her father Godo and her mother, Kasumi. Though, she only knew her mother for a few short years since she died when Yuffie was still young. Since then, Godo raised Yuffie the best he could. The result? A mouthy, brash, tomboy. He couldn't fathom who the child took after, even though she has her father’s stubbornness. Wutai had taken a devastating blow when it lost the war with ShinRa. Not just to its pride, but also to its economy.

Yuffie was appalled when she heard her father was turning Wutai into a resort. She felt it was a last ditch effort to help the falling country after it lost the war with ShinRa; in her eyes she saw it as just giving up, even though they had lost. Wutai’s rich culture and traditions wouldn’t mean squat anymore and it would only exist for outsiders to come visit and buy souvenirs. Wutai was NOT a tourist attraction. Of course, Yuffie didn’t care too much about old traditions, but she cared about her beloved Wutai. She wouldn't take that lying down. Thus she enlisted the help of Zack Fair. Well, not enlisted per se, but perhaps she did trick him a little to help fulfill her own selfish needs by sending him on missions with the SOLDIER emails she managed to snatch from her father. Since he didn’t plan on ever using them. The young girl planned on stealing whatever treasure he might have found at the end of the missions, but none of them were up to her standards. In the end, Yuffie managed to pinch Bahamut’s Fury from Zack, but she wound up not being able to figure out how to use it so she just mailed it back to him.

Throughout the years, Yuffie did everything she could to help get Wutai back up onto its own two feet again, since ShinRa knocked it down. One of her goals was to collect materia. If she collected enough then surely there was no need for Wutai to be a place for tourists all the time. It was just her luck that she came across Cloud and the others. Well, after they gave her a bit of a walloping and asked her to join their group. She didn’t understand or really care at the time what they were doing, but she did care that they had oodles of materia on their person. Which worked out perfect for her. After sticking with them for some time she managed to steal their materia and make a break for it at Wutai thinking she had lost them, but the group was persistent in going after her and getting it back. Unfortunately she had managed to get captured by some old pervert’s lackeys, so Cloud and the group had to save her. Even though she had to give their materia all back Yuffie tagged along with them in hopes of reconciling with them (and still maybe getting some materia out it..) Along the way, Yuffie and the others had to endure the death of their good friend Aerith. Yuffie had burst into tears having to witness such a horrible folly that was brought upon one of the nicest people she’d ever met. Around this point she realized it wasn’t just about her or Wutai anymore. Though Yuffie didn’t really have a hand in helping to defeat Sephiroth. Not that she was scared or anything, but she hung back along with Vincent to help evacuate all the citizens out of Midgar.londonbell

Two years later, Yuffie helped Cloud and the others in another battle. She had also been trying to look for a cure for the Geostigma, especially since it had befallen some of the people in her country and children started to mysteriously disappear. She was blamed for bringing the disease to them. Her father even went as far as to quarantine her in her room in hopes that the disease wouldn't spread. Also, before the incident Yuffie was teaching the children in Wutai ninjitsu.

Another year later, Yuffie joined up with Reeve in the World Regenesis Organization. Putting her energy and craftiness to work, Reeve made her head of WRO Intelligence and espionage. She met with Vincent again, who she managed to save from Rosso the Crimson, part of the Deep Ground organization, just before she could deal the finishing blow.

It's been a few years since she met up with Cloud and the gang. Yuffie has grown a lot and she’s not AS obnoxious as she use to be. Though, she’s still pretty cocky and headstrong. Not to mention she hasn’t lost that motor mouth of hers. She still likes to refer to herself as, ‘The Great Ninja Yuffie Kisaragi’, 'The Single White Rose of Wutai', and other self-proclaimed titles. The girl just can’t pass up an opportunity for flashy introductions. Even when she met up with Vincent, shortly after saving him in the most DASHING manner, she had to give a grand speech for swooping in and saving the day.

Yuffie is usually the cheerful and enthusiastic one in the group. Even if things don’t exactly look like they’re going too well and everyone else is in a down mood, Yuffie will pipe up trying to give some good ol’ fashioned motivation and cheer. Besides, if there’s anything she can’t stand it's awkward silence. There isn’t a whole lot that can bring down her good mood, unless someone is intentionally trying to get on her bad side. That usually earns you a nice place on her list of people she considers big fat jerks. Don’t think she won’t take some insults without giving some back. It gets that short temper of hers fired up. If something is bothering her or she's in a down mood she tries not to show it.

Yuffie is very approachable. If anything she usually ends up approaching others first, especially if they look interesting enough (or have something interesting). A girl this cute with an inviting smile has to be approachable right? Right! If she likes you enough you’ll be fortunate or unfortunate enough for her to tag along with you a lot or just bug you. Since, that’s what friends do. Even with friends like Vincent and Cloud she just has to bother them and brighten their day and try to break that strong, silent macho thing they have going on. Moreso an attempt to get them to socialize more. Since Vincent doesn't seem to pick up his phone too often when she calls to bother him. What's the point of even having one?

If there’s one thing she likes to do with her friends that would be ‘teasing’ them. Well, she’ll tease other people too, but it’s all in good fun...for her anyway. If she notices she can embarrass someone easily she’ll definitely go out of her way to get them flustered. It’s rather fun getting people all riled up with just a few words. She's not terribly modest, but it's not impossible to embarrass her if you know what buttons to push. Though you might end up getting her in a hissy fit too, which will show off that hot temper she has.

This girl likes to stay active. She can't just sit in one place and twiddle her thumbs. She has to be up and moving around or else she gets VERY bored. Which she'll complain about if someone so happens to be around for her to fuss about it.londonbellPerhaps even trying to coax them into doing something about it.

With being a ninja and all, one of Yuffie’s strong points is agility. Though she can also be a helpless clutz at times. Especially when she’s enthralled with herself; like when she fell back and hit her head while giving her super awesome speech to Vincent. It also showed she doesn’t have a big tolerance for pain. If she gets hit and it HURTS then you can expect to hear a lot of complaining and whining on her end about it. Though at times she’ll play it off, even if it hurts to high Shiva she's gotta show how tough she is...or isn't.

At times it seems like Yuffie might not be the most mature person or the brightest crayon in the box, but there is a brain to match the cute face. Reeve wouldn’t have made her head of WRO intelligence for nothing if she wasn’t, right? Who better to gather information that they need than her? Then again the man fiddles with mechanical puppets and the like. But hey, at least someone recognizes and appreciates her skills! She is a very skilled fighter and a tactical one at that.

Speaking of appreciation. She absolutely loves, loves, LOVES materia. It’s a girls best friend. Some say she might have an unhealthy obsession with it, but it’s not as bad as it used to be. Though, she won’t pass up the chance to get some when the opportunity arises. She doesn’t just collect them, she also strives to master them. What good is materia if you aren’t even going to put it to use? She does enjoy valuable items.

Too bad materia can’t fix her ongoing problem. No matter if it’s a plane, boat, car, train...Yuffie can’t help but get that queasy feeling in the bottom of her stomach. Due to her motion sickness she absolutely hates any mode of transportation if it’s not on foot. She can force herself to get on one, especially Cid’s airship if she absolutely has to. Too bad she hasn’t learned how to keep a tranquilizer or two on her in these situations.

abilities/powers:
Being a ninja, Yuffie has a range of skills that focus on stealth and agility. When she isn’t tripping over her own two feet she can be very stealthy and quiet. She’s also very limber. Backflips, cartwheels, front flips, somersaults, handstands, wall running, running up walls...name it and she can probably do it.

What she lacks in strength she makes up for in agility and flexibility. She can get in multiple hits this way, which can be effective in catching someone off guard. As quick as she is, it’s rather hard to catch her and she can easily dodge attacks unless they can match her speed.londonbell

Yuffie can easily use magic, but this is only when she has materia in her possession. Due to her obsession with the orbs she can use materia without any trouble. Though even so, using it constantly can leave her tired.

She has a physical healing ability, Clear Tranquil, that can heal herself and others. Though she doesn't use it often, it's a handy ability to have. Also, she has a number of other limit breaks she uses. Though she mostly uses ‘Greased Lightning’, a quick attack with her weapon against a single opponent that causes massive physical damage depending on who or what she’s up against. 'Doom of the Living' is a very useful technique that helps her attack her opponent from all sides with great speed at close range. The damage given is cumulative.

Yuffie is trained in numerous throwing weapons including kunais, shurikens, and boomerangs. Though her weapon of choice is her large 4-point shuriken.

Not a redeeming feature, but she's pretty good at picking locks and stealing without being noticed. Though, she hasn't done a lot of stealing since she joined up with Cloud and the others, so she's been behaving herself. You never know when you might need to pick a lock though.

Oh, sure. You’re no where to be found after I hit my head. And I don’t even get a thank you for saving you. Tch, you jerk! Could have had a concussion or been in a coma or something! But, nooooo....don’t worry about me. I don’t have brain damage or anything. Can’t even get a ‘Oh are you alright, Yuffie?’ or a ‘You poor thing. Let me rub the back of your head to make you feel better’ Or a kiss my pale ass or SOMETHING.
[Grumble.]

Don’t even know if you healed completely or not even if the hole in your chest was gone...[Which got her concerned. What if he wasn't alright?]

[She had found the thing and hey... 'Finders keepers.' It was better than her other phone. Though, she had noticed people popping up now and again on it. She had observed it curiously for a few moments. Maybe someone might be able to help her?]

Of all the materia to be out of, she had to not have THAT one. The shinobi was so frustrated that she hadn't even carried a chocobo lure with her. It was taking her FOREVER to find one of these dodo birds out here. These things don't even like to be in herds or anything. She decided to try another method other than wandering around was to put out some greens in a area and just wait behind a rock that was just big enough to conceal her. Though she's been sitting here for over an hour and the waiting was killing her. Her finger tapped along her arm, while she shuffled uncomfortably against the rock.

"These birds must be loners or something....nah, then they'd just be like Vincent." She snickered to herself at the image of a black and red chocobo before her head jerked up upon hearing a squawk. Her eyes lit up brightly and to her surprise one had actually came and it was eating the greens! There was a silent fist pump of victory before she began to carefully get up and approach the bird from behind.

Quietly. Don't want to spook it. Just a little closer...

She bit her lip as she edged closer watching the beast gobble up the greens.

Though she had to hurry it up because that was the only ones she had. Of course, there was a small 'SNAP' of a branch underneath her boot. Yuffie immediately cursed herself silently as her and the bird had locked eyes with each other. A nervous laugh as she spoke in a soft manner.

"H-hey, there. Don't worry I'm not gonna hurt you..."

The bird stood there silently watching her carefully as she moved in closer to it. Possibly debating if it should high tail it out of there or see what else she was about to do.

"That's it...that's it...I'm just gonna...Gotcha!" Without warning, she jumped on top of the bird and grabbed it suddenly.

That had to be the understatement of the year. It was more like it had her. The bird was certainly startled by being jumped. Most likely thinking it was a monster it began flapping its wings wildly before taking off with Yuffie still latching onto it 'Warking' the whole time in a panic.

"Whoa, whoa...WHOA! STOP!" The young woman was holding on for dear life and shrieking as the panicking bird was making her panic. Not to mention she was starting to feel that uneasy feeling in her stomach with all the rapid movements of the bird. Loose feathers were blinding her and flying into her mouth, in which she spit out promptly, "PHHHHFFFFT! Gross! Knock it off!" This was going to be the longest ride and day for her.
